2009 Distinguished Graduate Award
Each January as we celebrate Catholic Schools Week, Assumption-St. Bridget School honors a distinguished graduate; an individual who reflects leadership and achievements demonstrating the education received in a Catholic school.
This year we were pleased to honor Sandra Barton Smith, ASB class of 1974, with the 2009 ASB Distinguished Graduate Award. This celebration provided us the opportunity to celebrate the theme of Catholic Schools Week, "Celebrate Service," in all ways, big and small at ASB. It also gave us the opportunity to honor Sandra. Throughout her career in education she has lived the mission of Catholic education as teacher and principal. Currently she continues that commitment in her work as the Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum Development in the Catholic Schools Department of the Archdiocese of Seattle.
