Special Events
Leadership: As the oldest students at ASB, the 8th grade class holds a special leadership role in the school. 8th graders serve on Student Council as the leaders of student government, and all 8th graders work to be good role models to the ASB community.
Retreats: 8th graders participate in two important retreats. The first is a challenge course in September, and the second is a more reflective final retreat in May.
High School: 8th graders spend much of the fall researching and visiting high schools. Applications are usually due in January, and acceptance information is usually available in mid-February.
Graduation: 8th graders usually finish classes in late May. Graduation festivities include a final dance, faculty-student basketball game, class parties, a formal breakfast with parents, and the graduation Mass itself, which usually takes place in early June.
